Once you make your first one, you will get the hang of it. BUT, if you have clumsy hands, like I do, sometimes this craft can be difficult. I use them as ornaments, stand alone decoration, and I also tape them to Christmas presents so everyone gets one..

I'm going to add some cardboard circles covered with paper dolies ($ store) between the layers so you don't see the holes. i also found pink toliet paper. i'm doing an xmas cake for my mom. so i'm going to see if i can find pink poinsettas to stick between the layers and lots of curling ribbon and such for the top. if you can't find pink toliet paper, u could wrap each in tissue paper, keeps it cleaner as well ;)

I have made ornaments out of juice can lids using holiday rub-on transfers. I spray it with fixative, or you can use enamel or mod-podge--whatever you have. Glue a ribbon to the back and you're done. I also like to mod-podge pictures of a person as a child on them.

I think some of these ill-informed comments are as funny as the original idea! Here is a little insight for those that think this is a Voodoo Doll. 1) A Voodoo Doll (properly called a "fetish") is made in the image of the target and with something of theirs, i.e, nail clippings, hair, clothing they have worn and not washed yet etc. 2) A fetish can also be used for healing, not just harming. Its down to the caster how the fetish is used, if they intend harm, that's what happens. 3) There is much more to fetishes and poppets that I care to list here. If you are still thinking these are "Voodoo Dolls", go and google about it and learn from people who practice the religion before classing an innocent craft idea as "evil" and "Voodoo".

Honestly speaking most of the christmas tradition were borrowed from pagans including the date.If you consider paganism to be satanic,then you should also celebrate christmas on another day and NOT on Dec 25 . Pagans used to celebrate bruma on this date.And romans used to celebrate Dies Natalis Solis Invicti on the same date.Wiccans also used to celebrate on dec 25 before it was borrowed by church officials.If you have problem with this craft, then you should be NOT celebrate christmas on dec 25.
