    5 balls in 2nd color
    6 balls in 3rd color
    5 balls in 4th and 5th colors
    6 balls in 6th and 7th colors
    5 balls in 8th,9th, 10th and 11th colors.

    4.00mm (#8)Crochet Hook

Tension: 18 1/2 htr and 13 1/2 rows to 10 cm's over htr fabric using 4.00mm hook.

Size: 140cm x 140cm

Abreviations:
INC= 3 htr in next st
DEC= (YOH,draw up a loop in next st) 3 times, yoh and draw through all loops on hook.

Using C1 (color one) make 243 Ch.

1st row:
miss 2 ch,2 htr in next ch, *1 htr in each of next 8 ch, DEC, 1 htr in each of next 8 ch, INC rep from *
to last 20 ch.
1 htr in each of nect 8 ch, Dec, 1 htr in each of next 8 ch, 2htr in last ch.

2nd row:
2 ch,2 htr in first htr, * working into back loops only, 1 htr in each of next 8 htr, Dec, working into back loops only, 1 htr in each of 8 htr, Inc rep from * to last 20 sts, working into back loops only, 1 htr in each of next 8 htr, Deem working into back drops only, 1 htr in each of next 8 htr, 2 htr in last htr.

Repeat 2nd row working in strips throughout of 2 rows each C2,C3,C4,C5,C6,C7,C8,C9,C10,C11 and C1, cont until work measures 140cms from begining. Fasten Off.

this is pretty easy to follow :) and to the person that can't afford so many balls of wool you can make the rug smaller requiring less wool :)

To the guest who said they could not afford 59 balls ...... I think it's only 58 balls, but these are 25g balls and most wool comes in 50g or 100g, so I don't think it will be as expensive as you first thought ..... especially if you use craft yarn which is usually cheaper ( it also washes and dries better) ....
