Recipes in a Mug

These make great little gifts for friends and family for every occasion from Christmas to birthdays, to mothers day's and even just a pick me up for someone who is feeling down.

For these recipes you will need a mug that is oven proof to be able to cook the item in the mug. Your mug should fit around 1 1/2 cups of liquid into it.

Fill the mug with the mug ingredients that have been placed into an airtight or ziplock bag and attach the recipe card instructions.

Tie the whole mug up with some cellophane or add some curling ribbons and a bow to finish off this gift

Mug Ingredients
2 tbs of walnuts (chopped)
4 tbs flour
2 tbs of sugar
1 tbs brown sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon
pinch of nutmeg and a pinch of ground cloves
3/4 tsp baking powder
1 tbs of dessicated coconut

1 tbs of sultana's of raisin's

Mix all the ingredients together and place in a airtight bag and place into the mug.

Tag Instructions:
1 egg
1 tbs of vegetable oil
2 tbs of fresh orange juice
2 tbs of fresh grated carrot

Preheat oven to 350'F or 165'C.

Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl and pour into lightly greased mug. Bake in oven for 20 minutes.

if you do not like the mug use a canning jar, works great.

What fun. Just the thing for a pick me up. In a mug? Why not - the mug will be a nice reminder of the thought each time a drink is taken...

Haven't tried it yet, but anything like this needs a Gas Mark number.

You can also microwave this kind of mug-cake - 2 mins on high power.
