Snowball Mix

Snowball mix recipe for a gift in a jar.

What you need

Approx. 1 Quart / 1.1 Litre Wide mouthed Jar
Recipe ingredients as shown below
Card for making tags
Ribbon
Zip Lock Bags

Instructions

Follow the instructions in the recipes in a jar project.

Jar Ingredients:

1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup chopped pecans
In a medium bowl, combine the confectioners’ sugar and flour. Place into a 1 quart canning jar. Put the chopped pecans on top and close the lid

Tag Instructions:
Snow Balls

You Will need to add  1/4 pound butter (at room temperature)

Makes 4 dozen.

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).

Grease cookie sheets. In a medium bowl, cream the butter.

Stir in 2 teaspoons of vanilla. Add the entire contents of the jar, and mix well.

Roll dough into 1 inch balls and place them on the prepared cookie sheet.

Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until lightly browned.

Cool, and roll in confectioners’ sugar.

  1. Mine were so sticky – I used a mixer – would that make a difference. Thaey flattened out like a cookie.
