  • Melt and pour soap base
    Cocoa butter

Take 1 1/2 cups of unscented soap (I like using the white glycerin soap, but use what you prefer) and melt it.

Let it cool slightly and add 1/2 cup of your favorite (unscented) moisturizing lotion (I like using Shea or coconut butter) and mix well.

As it cools and thickens, stir it, adding a little water at a time until it is of a consistency you like. At this time, you may add some coloring and your favorite esential oil until the color and scent is just right for your taste. (I love using a sugar cookie scent!)

To make this an exfoliating scrub, you can add store bought loofah shreds, or shred your own loofah. Or add any other exfoliating agent. I use plain almonds from the grocery store and oatmeal, run through the food processor until it's fine and add about 1/4 cup to my mixture.

I usually pour the mixture into a lotion bottle that has a large opening and a flip top screw on cap to keep in the shower. Any extra can be stored in an airtight container in the bathroom cupboard safely.

This recipe is so easy and versatile, anyone can do it and you can make so many variations that you have something to suit anyone!
