Scan your picture on your computer and print out on transparent paper. I put mine into a round shape that was 2 1/2 inches by 2 1/2 inches. Cut it out and wrap around the end of a pencil and slide it in the opening of your ornament after removing the gold hanging part of the ball. Use tweezers to move it around and place until sides of picture meet each side of the glass to hold in place. when you put the top back on your ornament the 2 little prongs that pop it into the ball will help hold it in place. Your picture will look like it is floating in your ball.

I just made 16 of these, they turned out great!! Once you get the right size circle, they go really fast. Now I want to add something to the top of the ornament to finish it off.
I created several of these for gifts. Didn't know how to make pic fit and float inside properly so I cut it smaller than needed (round), glued a gold string to top of pic, rolled it up with a pair of hemistat clamps (helps old better). inserted, glued the top of string to top of ball opening and "suspended" the pic. Worked wonderfully. Added tiny bit of good-grade of "snow" to inside bottom to create winter effect; rolled up tiny scene cut from greeting cards inserted, unrolled, added tiny dot of glue with toothpick to back of pic in ball and used hemistats to gently clamp the pics back to back. Large tweezers would probably almost as well. Used tiny mini colored lights on outside of ball for deco along with ribbons, etc. Turned out beautiful! Would like to see other ideas.
I have been trying to make this ornament for over 2 weeks. I cannot figure out how big to cut the paper that goes inside or what shape it should be. I need to mae 6 for Christmas gifts and Christmas is less then a week away. Please help! macscrapee@yahoo.com
i amboslotly love this ideal!!
Im going to try and twink the idea with the color on the ball as well. Think Im going to try putting the photo inside the ball, Than tape off the area that the picture is on and spray the remainder of the ball and remove the tape. In case the edge of the taped area is messy I think a paint squickly line will discise it :) Good luck with your ideas!
Excellent idea!
