You need to create a basic doll shape and cut it out of fabric, you can use any color fabric you want, but if you intend on adding facial features you will need to keep the fabric light.
If you are embroidering the doll with the words "My First Dolly" then you will need to do this before sewing it together.
Alternatively you can write on it using fabric paints.
Cut out 2 body shapes and sew around the edges.
Turn the doll the right side out and using a pen push out any edges in the hands and legs till it is all turned the right side out.
Then using your toy filling stuff the doll from the leg's up remembering to keep it soft.
Keep filling the doll till you reach the head, then using some glue or a few hand stitches close up the head.
Use a waterproof felt pen or stitch in some eyes and facial features.
You can add as much or as little detail as you want to your doll remembering to keep it safe for small children (no choking hazards)
Finish off the doll by making a small bag for it.
Basic Pattern You will need to re-size this pattern to suit your needs.

wow im very intersested. its so amazing and easy i made it and it looks like yours.Rock On!
This is an interesting doll. It is AWESOME!!!
COOL
I think t hat babies like to feel things, so fleece if a nice, soft material to make it out of. The only thing I would change is the button, you cant trust babies with buttons. Other than that, nice idea!
I think this is a cute idea in theory but I would not trust that button on the bag in the hands of a baby. A face would have been cute too.
This is a cute idea.
Your doll came out looking very nice
