Memory Calendar

This is a great gift for elderly grandparents or kids going away to college:

Take an ordinary flip over calendar and fill the days with reminders of birthdays, anniversaries and special events of family members and friends that you know.

On the birth date of each person, put their picture if you have it and add the year of their birth and the address and phone number of the person.

One week before the birthday, in the calendar, add a stop sign or a reminder that the day is coming up to allow the owner of the calendar the time needed to mail out a card or add a paper pocket to hold a stamp. On off days, you might want to add some anecdotes, cut out cartoons, bits of poetry or jokes.
