bees wax can be replaced with candulla or almond wax for vegans, i find the above recipe makes a hard balm so i use
1 tbs beeswax
2 tbs unrefined shea butter
3 tbs sunflower oil (best to use edible oils)
5 drops of essential oils or natural food flavorings
1/2 tbs set honey

shelf life should be a good few months or more

The pots can be bought from online container suppliers, or use recycled baby food jars. Small bead organizers are also great for lip balms

Any ideas on where to get the pots? I can't wait to make some of these! =)

You can buy beeswax at most craft stores, usually near the candle supplies, I believe. I've seen them at Hobby Lobby and Michael's Crafts.
