This free bath and body recipe project shows you how to make your very own homemade lip balm.
This is a delicious protective and healing gloss especially good for chapped lips.
HOW TO START
Melt the beeswax. Add the apricot and calendula oils, stirring constantly.
Remove from the heat while stirring. When partly cooled, add the essential oils.
Store in a small glass pot.
Mini clean jam jars work well .

were can i find the materials i realy like this project greatings from venezuela sorry if i dont write correctly
the lip balm sounds wonderful
bees wax can be replaced with candulla or almond wax for vegans, i find the above recipe makes a hard balm so i use
1 tbs beeswax
2 tbs unrefined shea butter
3 tbs sunflower oil (best to use edible oils)
5 drops of essential oils or natural food flavorings
1/2 tbs set honey
shelf life should be a good few months or more
can another mosturizing oil such as almond oil be used as calendula oil? because it's difficult to find it here.
i need somthing without bees wax!
very nice!
super cool talk of the town
Yo man where do I find the illusive apricot and candula oils and lemon essential oils... I doubt Giant has this stuff haha
how long can this be stored before it goes bad?
The pots can be bought from online container suppliers, or use recycled baby food jars. Small bead organizers are also great for lip balms
Any ideas on where to get the pots? I can't wait to make some of these! =)
You can buy beeswax at most craft stores, usually near the candle supplies, I believe. I've seen them at Hobby Lobby and Michael's Crafts.
Sounds good, but where do you buy beeswax?
Sounds easy
Simple, and sounds great!
