I love this little beanie. SO easy, SO cute. I went 14cm for a smaller head height and for a 1-2 yo. The flower is tricky so found an easier pattern on the net. The finishing instructions are ok if you've done a beanie before. I also did an extra K1 P1 row & K2 tog as last row.

I knit hats/blankets for our local hospital so I always like new patterns! Do I use 2 strands of knit worsted yarn for this hat pattern?
Thanks!

Does this hat look like the picture ??

I made the adult one and it showed the same picture......but it was not the right pattern. k2 p2 is too loose for a hat band.

You can find a bunch of how-to flowers on YouTube...knit or crochet.
That's what I do to find just the right one.

I cast on 60 to fit a 3yr old perfectly. Did 30 the first time and the result was half a hat. Also tried K2 P2 on the alternate rows, which gave it a lovely ribbed effect. Cute, easy beanie to make.

Am I supposed to make two of the above then connect them together to make one hat? Or just make one and fold in two before sewing the side seams?
