Directions for a crochet key shaped bookmark:

Begin with a chain 5 and slip stitch to form a ring.

Round 1: Chain 3, 11 DC into center. Sl st to join. (12 DC)

Round 2: Chain 3, DC into same stitch. 2 DC into each stitch around. Sl st to join. (24 DC)

Round 3: Chain 3, *2 DC, 1DC* around, 2 DC into last stitch, sl st to join. (36 DC)

Round 4: *Chain 5, skip 1 stitch, SC into next stitch* around. (18 loops made)

Round 5: Sl st into next loop. Chain 3, 4 DC into same loop. *SC into next loop, 5 DC into next loop* around. SC in next loop, join with a sl st into top of first ch 3 at beginning of round.

Round 6: Ch 3, DC in next 4 stitches. Chain 3, DC in next 5 DC. Turn.

Round 7-18: Repeat round 6.

Round 19: Chain 3, Holding last loop from each DC; DC in next 4 DC, then pull through all loops. Chain 5. Holding last loop from each DC; DC in next 5 DC, then pull through all loops.

Round 20: Sl st to ch 5 space, chain 3, 9 DC into chain 5 space. Finish off. Weave in ribbon.

it's beautiful but too hard for me, i can crochet but hard time reading patterns! i've made lots of afagans but just the regular granny squars very large
