Recipes in a Jar
These make great gifts for friends and family for every occasion from Christmas to birthdays, to mothers day's and even just a pick me up for someone who is feeling down.
For these recipes you will need a jar that holds around 1 quart or 1.130 litres.
If your jar is airtight add the ingredients directly otherwise place them into
an airtight or ziplock bag and attach the recipe card instructions.
Tie the whole jar up with some cellophane or add some curling ribbons and a bow to finish off this gift
Jar Ingredients:
4 cups dry milk
1 cup unsweetened cocoa
2 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon instant decaffeinated coffee (optional)
Mix the ingredients and put them into a plastic container or double plastic bags.
Label the mix
Tag Instructions:
Hot Chocolate. Use 1/4 cup per cup of boiling water. Makes 20 cups. (Makes 80
servings)

it doesnt make 80 servings if it did it woul be a 1/4 cup of drink,4 cups mix(aprox) makes 20 cups drink (8 oz servings)
I've made this using crushed candy canes for a peppermint hot chocolate, and poured the mix into disposable pastry bags when I didn't have jars.
