This free crochet pattern shows you how to make a placemat using a worsted weight yarn.


Abbreviations


PU = Pull up stitches

CO


= Cast off Stitches

Direction



With CC


Ch 45. Work Basic Crochenit Stitch, PU with MC and CO with MC.


Then PU with CC and CO with CC working for a total of 11".


Fasten off.



Trim



Attach White with SL St in any corner. Ch 3 (Counts as first Dc).


Place 3 Dc in same space. *Skip 2 St, Sc in next, Skip 2, 3 Dc in next (On long edge)


Repeat from* across short Rows, At the same time 4 Dc in each corner.


At the end, join to top of beginning Ch 3. Fasten off.
