This felted knitting pattern shows you how to knit and felt a pin cushion.
Cast on 6sts
P1 Row
(inc K wise into every st) 12 sts
P1 Row
(inc K wise into every st) 24 sts
P1 Row
(inc K wise into next st k1) to the end. 36sts
P1 Row
(inc K wise into next st k1) to the end. 54sts
st st 8 Rows
(k2 YFD. K2 Tog) to the end
St-St 4 Rows
Cast Off
Sew 2 side seams together.
Draw up the cast on edges and secure.
Make a chain with contrasting color and thread through holes at the top to for a ribbon. Tie in a bow.
Once complete felt your finished pin cushion by washing it in hot water you can do this by hand or in a washing machine on gentle cycle. You can do this several times in hot-boiling water until you achieve the look you want.
The hot water will shrink the stitches leaving you with a felted product.
