Easter Bunny Hangup Egg Bag

Easter Bunny Hangup Egg Bag

This Easter project shows you how to make an adorable Easter bunny craft project. The bunny bag is perfect for hanging on door knobs filled with decorative easter eggs or for taking to an Easter Egg hunt to fill with yummy chocolate eggs.

What you need

Pink Felt or pink fleece
white felt or fleece for eyes and inner ears
2 x 1 1/2 inch pompoms white
1 pink 1/4 inch pompom pink
toy filling/wadding
green ribbon/tape/cord for bow and hangup

Instructions

Print the patterns below to use as a template. Each pattern page should fit flush onto an A4 sized paper, but you can make yours as big or small as you like.

Bunny Bag Pattern 1

Bunny Bag Pattern 2

Sew two pieces of pink ear together, then sew the white piece on top, and set aside.

(make two)

Sew your black eye piece to the white eye piece, and set aside.

Take your two head pieces and sew them together, remember to sew in your ears as you go, but leave a small gap so you can fill with wadding. (I did mine at the bottom where it will be attached to the bag).

I made my bag 9 inches x 24 inches or (23 cm x 60 cm).

Sew the two 9 inch edges together then with this seam at the back, stitch across the bottom. Now you should have a bag 9 inches x 12 inches.

When you make your bag make a hem at the top so you can thread some cord through.

Stitch your head to the bag.

Now you can put your face pieces in place. Use the diagram for guidance.

You may need to glue your pom- poms on.

To finish off stitch another piece of cord or tape on top of the head so you can hang it up.

All done!

Comments

  1. Is A4 letter size paper, it does say? Also to get the pattern, I clicked on the pattern, then did a copy and pasted it in my work program. I am not sure if it is the correct size, since there are no measurements. Where can I get the measurements, or do you just make it what ever size you want?
