Cut out a rectangle of paper about 30 x 25cm, then take corner A to corner B, overlap and staple. Take 2 lengths of string and staple one to each side of the hat.
Now you can let the children decorate their hats with paint's or crayons.
If you have access to little blocks of wood you could tie these to the children's feet to use as Dutch clogs.
