Drip Wax Candle Holder

This is a decorative way to recycle some old bottles and to create a quick bottle holder.

For this project I used a soya sauce bottle that had a nice shape but my favourite to use is Wine bottles as they make great centre pieces on the table. You can use any bottle that has a neck suitable for holding a tapered candle.

Take the bottle and using colored tapered candles drip the wax down the bottle. You can also melt the wax into a pot and pour it over using a spoon. Keep layering the drips all around the bottle. Add multiple colors for a vibrant effect.

Once you have enough drips on your bottle it's ready to use. Just add the tapered candle to the holder.

My Dad used to make these years ago but they didn't work in the house. I went to a resturant recently which was decorated in "natural" Greek type decor, these holders were on the tables and the effect was amazing.
