Devils Food Peanut Cookie Mix

Recipes in a Jar

These make great gifts for friends and family for every occasion from Christmas to birthdays, to mothers day's and even just a pick me up for someone who is feeling down.

For these recipes you will need a jar that holds around 1 quart or 1.130 litres.
If your jar is airtight add the ingredients directly otherwise place them into
an airtight or ziplock bag and attach the recipe card instructions.

Tie the whole jar up with some cellophane or add some curling ribbons and a bow to finish off this gift

Jar Ingredients:
1 (18.25 ounce) package devil's food cake mix
2 cups peanut butter chips
Layer the cake mix and peanut butter chips in a jar and seal

Tag Instructions:

2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2/3 cup shortening
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). In a medium bowl, beat the eggs,
vanilla, and shortening with 1/2 of the cake mix until light and fluffy. Mix in the
remaining cake mix and the peanut butter chips. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls
2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in preheated
oven. Remove from cookie sheets to cool on wire racks. Makes 5 dozen
