  • Child's sized coat hanger
    Size 5 (3.75mm or UK9) Knitting Needles
    Double worsted (8 ply yarn)
    4 decorative buttons

 This knitting pattern shows you how to knit a simple coat hanger tidy to place small items in the closet. Keep hair clips, stockings and much more in this fun organzier. You can also use it for hanging on doorknobs of bedrooms.


 


Using 8ply and 3.75 needles pink


Cast on 68stitches


Stocking stitch 8 rows


Knit 2 rows (for fold line)


Stocking stitch 22 rows.


 


Change to green stocking stitch 2rows


Change back to pink  stocking stitch 6 rows.

Change to pink stocking stitch 6 rows


2 rows green


16 rows pink


2 rows knit ( for fold line)


Change to red sticking stitch 68 rows


(Button hole row) knit 8 cast off 2 k 14


to last 8 stitches k8


Purl 8 turn cast on 2 turn p14 to the last 8 stitches p8


Stocking stitch 4 rows


Change to moss stitch


Row 1 - k 1 p1


Row 2. - p1 k1


Repeat theses 2 rows twice more .


Cast off.
