  • Small amount worsted weight yarn, (cream, ecru or white)
    Small amount worsted weight yarn, (pink)
    Small amount worsted weight yarn, (dark color)
    Crochet hook, size F Finishing Materials:
    2 plastic eyes 5/8" in diameter
    1 colored pompom
    14" length

Head: (Using white, ecru or cream)


Rnd 1) Ch 4; 15 dc in 4th ch from hook; join with a slip st to top of first ch 4: 16 dc.

Rnd 2) Ch 3, (counts as first dc), dc in same st; * 2 dc in next dc; repeat from * around; join with a slip st to first dc: 32 dc. Fasten off, secure ends.


Ears: (Using pink)

Row 1) Attach yarn to any dc on bunny head; Ch 1, sc in same st, sc in next 2 dc; ch 1, turn work: 3 sc.

Row 2) 2 sc in same st, sc in next sc, 2 sc in last sc; ch 1, turn work: 5 sc.

Row 3) Sc in each sc across; ch 1, turn work: 5 sc.

Row 4) Skip first sc, sc in next 2 sc, dec over last 2 sc; ch 1, turn work: 3 sc.

Row 5) Skip first sc, sc in next 2 sc; ch 1, turn work: 2 sc.

Row 6) Dec over last 2 sc. Fasten off, secure ends.



Opposite Ear: (Using pink)

Skip 2 dc on bunny head from last ear, attach yarn to next dc. Continue with instructions for bunny ear rows 1 - 6.


Edging: (Using white, cream or ecru)

Attach yarn to last un-worked dc on bunny head before ear; ch 1, sc in same st, evenly sc around bunny ear, placing 3 sc in tip of ear, sc in next 2 dc, sc evenly around next ear, placing 3 sc in tip of ear, sc in each dc around head.; join with a slip st in first sc. Fasten off, secure ends.



Finishing: Glue 2 5/8 inch eyes and a pompom to face of bunny. Cut 6 tiny strips of yarn from any color you choose for whiskers and glue 3 to each side of nose. Tie a bow with ribbon and glue to bottom edge of face. Attach magnets to back.

I made for my twin grandsons. I used buttons for eyes and a square button for the nose. They turned out very cute.

Very cute! This would be nice for a craft fair. Quick & easy. Also, if you added a pin-back & left off the magnets, you could wear this on your jacket for Easter.
