dc in 4th ch frm hk (counts as first dc plus ch 1)
*ch1, sk a st, dc* across, ch 3 turn
row 2: dc in 1st st *sc in next ch 1 sp, v-stitch in next ch1 sp* ch 3, sc in next st
(39sc and 39 v-sts)
DO NOT turn
working now on opposite side of row:
row 3: *v-stitch in next space, sc in next space* across, sc in next st, sl st in next st, finish off and weave in ends
