Bath Bomb - Lavender

How to make Bath Bomb - Lavender - DIY Craft Project from Craftbits.com

  • 1 1/4 cups cup of Baking soda or Bicarbonate of Soda
    1/2 cup of Citric acid
    2 -6 tsp of Almond Oil or Apricot oil
    1/4 cup of Dried lavender
    1/2-2 tbs Water
    5 drops of Food coloring
    10-15 drops of Lavender fragrance oil or essential oil

    Makes 7 medium sized Bath Bombs

Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl and stir until well mixed.

Drizzle in the almond oil and stir until mixture is moistened. Add more oil and fragrance and stir until well mixed.

If the mixture is crumbly then add more oil or a dash of water.

Roll the mixture into a ball using your hands or press it into a lightly oiled mold. Use a bath bomb mold or a chocolate mold.

Let it slip out from the mold and then put the ball/shape on a sheet of wax paper and leave it to dry till it is hard. It make take several days.

Store them in a airtight container.

Use 1 Bath bomb per bath.

For the person who wanted to know where to find essiential oils - I find lavendar, eucalyptus and tea tree oils in the supermarket in the same aisle as the cough medications. The Chemist may also have a selection.

I have looked and looked but i can't find essential oil or fragrance oil anywhere! I really want to make my mom some Bath Bombs for her Birthday. Can somebody please give me some pointers as to where they would be found?

the citric acid is important it gives the fizzie effect when put in water

has anyone tried using cupcake papers or candy wraps for gifting?

reall good although didnt useapricot or almond oil i used shea butter. Buy realy good, try it with the kids!
