  • Size E/3.5 Crochet Hook. Red Heart Super Saver Yarn which is a worsted weight yarn Black, White, Cherry Red.
    Marker to mark rounds.
    Yarn needle.
    Fiber fill for stuffing.
    Red Ribbon 1/4 inch wide.
    Fabric glue.
    Small amount of purple variegated crochet thread.
    Size 7 crochet hook for flowers.
    Small amount of black felt for eyes.

    Gauge: 5 sc = 1 inch, 5 sc rows = 1 inch.

This free crochet Amigurumi pattern shows you how to make a Amigurumi Geisha doll. Size: Doll measures 5 inches high


Notes: Do not join rounds. Place marker on last stitch of each round as you work. If you prefer crocheting your flower embellishments I have included a flower pattern. It uses size 3 cotton thread and E crochet hook.


Body Rnd 1: with black ch 2, work 6 sc in 2nd ch from hk. (6)


Rnd 2: work 2 sc in each sc around. (12)


Rnd 3: (sc, 2 sc) rep around. (18)


Rnd 4: (sc 2 times, 2 sc) rep around. (24)


Rnd 5: (sc 3 times, 2 sc) rep around. (30)


Rnd 6: (sc 4 times, 2 sc) rep around. (36)


Rnd 7-11: sc in each sc around. (36)


Rnd 12: (sc 4 times, dec sc) rep around. (30)


Rnd 13: (sc 3 times, dec sc) rep around. (24)


Rnd 14: (sc 2 times, dec sc) rep around. (18)


Rnd 15, 16: sc in each sc around. (18)


Rnd 17: (sc, dec sc) rep around. (12) Attach White for head.


Head Rnd 18: 2 sc in each sc around. (24)


Rnd 19: (sc 3 times, 2 sc) rep around. (30)


Rnd 20: (sc 4 times, 2 sc) rep around. (36)


Rnd 21-26: sc in each sc around. (36)


Rnd 27: (sc 4 times, dec sc) rep around. (30)


Rnd 28: (sc 3 times, dec sc) rep around. (24) Attach Black for hair.


Rnd 29: (sc 2 times, dec sc) rep around. (18)


Rnd 30: (sc, dec sc) rep around. (12) Stuff body and head.


Rnd 31: dec sc around. (6). Fasten off leaving long enough strand to weave through 6 stitches, pull tight and knot. Weave in end and trim.


Cape Base


Rnd 1: with red ch 2, 8 sc in 2nd ch from hk. (8)


Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (16)


Rnd 3: (sc, 2 sc) rep around. (24)


Rnd 4: (sc 2 times, 2 sc) rep around. (32)


Rnd 5: (sc 3 times, 2 sc) rep around. (40)


Rnd 6,7: sc in each sc around. (40)


Rnd 8: (sc 3 times, dec sc) rep around. (32) continue with cape.


Cape


Row 9: - sc in 26 sts, turn. (26)


Row 10: ch 1, dec sc, sc in 22 sts, dec sc, turn. (24)


Row 11-14: ch 1, sc across, turn. (24)


Row 15: ch 1, ( sc 4 times, dec sc) rep across, turn. (20)


Row 16: ch 1, sc across, turn. (20)


Row 17: ch 1, ( dec sc, sc 3 times) rep across, turn. (16)


Row 18: ch 1, (sc 2 times, dec sc) rep across, turn. (12)


Row 19: ch 1, sc across. Fasten off.


Hair Buns (make two)


Rnd 1: with black ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hk. (6)


Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (12)


Rnd 3: (sc, 2 sc) rep around. (18


) Rnd 4: sc in each sc around. (18) sl st in next sc, fasten off leaving long enough stand of yarn to stitch buns to head.


Using long strand on buns stitch to head as shown.


 


Bangs Cut 8 - 5 inch strands of black yarn and attach like you would any fringe to the front of doll at the hair line. Trim to � inch. Hands


Row 1: with white ch 2, 4 sc in 2nd ch from hk. Fasten off. Leave long strand of yarn to stitch to body.


Basket


Row 1: with red ch 2, 5 sc in 2nd ch from hk, turn. (5)


Row 2: ch 1, sc in first st, 2 sc in each of next 3 sts, sc in last st, turn. (8)


Row 3: ch 1, (sc 2 times, 2 sc) 2 times, sc in each of last 2 sts, Fasten off.


Small Flower - (make 2)


Rnd 1: with Purple variegated yarn and size 7 crochet hook ch 5, join to form ring, ch 1, work 6 sc around ring, join to beginning sc.


Rnd 2: ch 1, * (sc, 2 dc, sc) in sc * rep around, join. Fasten off. (6 petals)


Large Flower - (Make 1)


Rnd 1: with Purple variegated yarn and size 7 crochet hook ch 5, join to form ring, ch 1, work 6 sc around ring, join to beginning sc.


Rnd 2: ch 1, * (sc, 3 dc, sc) in sc * rep around, join. Fasten off. (6 petals) :


Finishing Using black yarn stitch eyebrows on head.


Using red yarn insert on front of face around sc and pull outward then tie into a knot for mouth, trim short.


Using guide cut 2 small eyes out of black felt and glue to face.


With yarn needle stitch basket to front of body and stitch hands just outside of basket.


Glue flowers and ribbon bows just above basket. Glue small ribbon bows to top of hair buns.

no way can this project be completed in 30 minutes!!

And, what is this supposed to mean? Rnd 3: (sc, 2 sc) rep around.

I take it to mean in round 3- single crochet then do 2 single crochets.

I am wondering if it should read correctly thus:
round 3: single crochet, then 2 single crochets together.

I love it.
