As you can guess, I work with Java technology. I have varied interests within this technology and have at some time or other been involved in all its manifestations.
Funnily enough, my current work assignment is not in Java. I am involved in upgrading and maintaining a .NET application, which has given me great insight into Java's direct competition.
I enjoy writing about the technologies I work with. The books and articles are a reflection of that. I especially like bringing out in the open arcane and little understood open-source technologies, and hence my involvement with Jakarta Commons.
I am currently looking to get involved with J2ME, Java's exciting technology for the wireless world. To this end, I have started a blog at java.net which will primarily concentrate on all things J2ME.
